Isprins- The shuttleboat to Svartisen and Engabreen.

Timetables and prices

To get to Svartisen and Engabreen, you have to cross the Holandsfjord by boat. This is what we at til Svartisen (formerly Engenbreen skyss) is responsible for. Our regular routes are initially from the end of May to the end of September. In addition to this, transportation can be requested.

The tour starts in Holandsvik, just off FV17, about 1 km from the tourist information center. You can park in designated areas either in Holandsvika or at the tourist information center. From the parking lots, you walk down to the quay and board Isprins on the crew’s notice. Remember to let guests who are leaving the area have room to get off the boat.

We drive from Holandsvika to Svartisen with Isprins, the journey takes about 10-12 minutes.
The journey over is absolutely part of the experience that awaits and we recommend that you have your camera ready.

When we arrive at the quay in Svartisen, you will find Engen Brygge, bicycle rental, toilet and the possibility of accommodation. From the quay, it is about 3 km of gravel road before you start the climb up the mountains to the glacier.

If you need a map of the area you can find it by clicking here

We would like to point out that it becomes extra slippery in wet weather and we recommend good shoes!
